10-Door Series | Telluride, CO | July-September 2022
This public art installation features ten locally-sourced reclaimed doors reimagined into double-sided works of fine art. Every door is hand-painted and embellished with intricate designs of reclaimed materials.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, Brooke contemplated the isolation we all experienced behind closed doors. As a reaction to the times, she began collecting doors from the Telluride community. Two years later, she has 100+ doors in her collection.
Einbender is launching The Unknown Zone, a public art project that bridges both physical and digital realms. Soon, Brooke will travel to different regions across the US and the globe to collect reclaimed doors and build site-specific installations in those areas.
